Your provider may have specific pre and post-care instructions for you based on your individual needs, but here are some general expectations for your pre and post-care.
Pre-Care:
- Avoid exposing the treatment area to direct sunlight for 1 week before your appointment.
- Do not receive other abrasive or exfoliating treatments for at least 4 weeks before your appointment.
- Arrive to your appointment with clean skin that has no lotions, perfumes, or other products present.
Post-Care
- Continue to avoid abrasive and exfoliating skin treatments for another 4 weeks following your appointment.
- Protect your skin by wearing a minimum of SPF 30 sunscreen when going outside for 1 week.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and avoiding alcohol and tobacco products for at least 2 days.
