Superficial chemical peels can be performed alone or in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation treatments, such as dermal fillers or neurotoxins. An approach that combines modalities may be the most effective way to achieve your treatment goals.

What to Expect
The Chemical Peel Process
Step 1: Consultation
Your 5-star experience at Medical Grade Aesthetics starts with a one-on-one consultation to receive your personalized plan of care. You can let us know your history, concerns, and goals for treatment with us. Our licensed medical professional will work with you based on this information to create a plan that fits into your lifestyle and meets your needs. Then we’ll get you scheduled for your chemical peel!
Step 2: Peel
Before your appointment, we will instruct you on your preparation and aftercare steps. At your treatment, our provider will cleanse your skin to clear it of any oil, dirt, or remaining makeup. They will then apply the peeling solution in several layers and wait for it to take effect. Depending on the type of peel, they may remove the solution within a certain period, or we’ll ask you to leave it on for a set number of hours after your appointment.
Step 3: Follow-Up
For most types of chemical peels in Beloit, we recommend a series of treatments for the best results. Your downtime can significantly vary depending on the intensity of your peel; you may have a day of recovery, or you may need up to 7 days. After your skin heals, you can expect to see clearer, smoother, and firmer skin!

The discomfort experienced during a chemical peel depends on the depth of the peel and your personal level of sensitivity. Light and medium peels may cause tingling, tightness, or a warming sensation that is tolerable for most people. For a deep chemical peel, an anesthetic can be used to manage discomfort during the procedure.
As mentioned above, the duration of your recovery period may vary, but generally, you can expect that your skin will be red, sensitive, and swollen. As it begins to heal, you may notice that your skin becomes scaly and eventually flakes off.
For light peels, almost any patient is a suitable candidate! For more intense chemical peels in Beloit, we will evaluate your skin type, concerns, and any conditions to ensure that it will be safe and effective for you.
