Without numbing, microneedling can be an uncomfortable process. That is why your provider applies a topical numbing cream before administering your microneedling treatment. Our team prioritizes your comfort, and will do everything possible to make sure your microneedling treatment is comfortable and effective.

What to Expect
The Microneedling Process
Step 1: Consultation
Your first appointment with our team will be an initial consultation. In this conversation, your provider will learn more about your concerns, your goals, and your medical history. Based on this information, you and your provider will discuss different options for treatment, including the SkinPen in Beloit. You’ll create a personalized treatment plan to address your concerns.
Step 2: Treatment
When you arrive to your appointment, your provider will cleanse your face of any dirt, sebum, and debris, and then apply a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort. Then, they will run the microneedling pen across the targeted area, creating micro-injuries within the skin. This stimulates your body’s natural healing process, increasing collagen and elastin production.
Step 3: Aftercare
Once you finish your appointment, your provider will give you post-care instructions that will help you protect your skin and achieve the best results. While your instructions may be personalized to your skin’s specific needs, you can expect to avoid direct sunlight for at least one week and avoid other skin exfoliating treatments. Your provider will then be able to help you schedule any additional microneedling appointments.

We recommend getting microneedling done every 4 to 6 weeks. This allows your skin time to fully heal and recover before undergoing treatment once again. Then, once your full treatment series is complete, you will most likely need maintenance treatments every 6 to 12 months.
Almost everyone is a good candidate for microneedling. We do not recommend microneedling to those who are experiencing an active skin infection or active acne. If you are still unsure, we recommend scheduling a consultation with one of our expert providers. Our team can help you find treatments for your unique goals and circumstances.
You will see some results in the first week following your appointment as your skin heals, but you will not see the full results until your skin has completely healed 4 to 6 weeks after your appointment.
As your skin continues to increase collagen and elastin production, you will also see gradual improvements over time, until you reach ideal results around 6 months following treatment.
